La lingua inglese usa molto spesso delle espressioni gergali aggreganti, delle contrazioni verbali tipiche principalmente nel parlato ma presenti anche nello scritto.
GONNA = going to / are going to
It’s gonna rain. – Pioverà.
You’re gonna be a princess. – Sarai una principessa.
GOTTA = have got to / got to
I gotta go home. – Devo andare a casa.
He gotta learn. – Devo studiare.
WANNA = want to
I wanna be a rock musician. – Voglio essere un musicista rock.
What (do) you wanna do? – Cosa vuoi fare?
AIN’T = be / have, forma negativa
John ain’t (=is not) listening. – John non sta ascoltando.
She ain’t (=hasn’t) got the money to buy it. – Lei non ha i soldi per comprarlo.
Rewrite the sentences using gonna, gotta, wanna and ain’t.
